Karnataka Government Approves Major Industrial Projects
The Karnataka government has recently approved nine groundbreaking industrial projects with a massive total investment of ₹9,823.31 crore. These strategic developments are anticipated to generate approximately 5,605 job opportunities within the state, representing a significant boost to the local economy and industrial growth.
Details of the Approval Meeting
Chaired by the Karnataka Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah, the 64th meeting of the State High Level Clearance Committee (SHLCC) resulted in the greenlighting of these projects. These encompass both new investment ventures and expansions or amendments to existing plans.

New Investment Projects
Among the newly proposed projects are:
- DN Solutions India Private Limited: Planning a ₹998 crore investment at ITIR Devanahalli, anticipated to create 467 jobs.
- Silectric Semiconductor Manufacturing Private Limited: Investing ₹3,425.60 crore at Kochanahalli, Mysuru, with a projection of 460 jobs.
- Sansera Engineering Limited: A significant ₹2,150 crore project at Harohalli, expected to generate 3,500 employment opportunities.
Expansion and Amendments
The committee also approved six expansion or amended projects totaling ₹3,249.71 crore, with an estimated creation of 1,178 jobs. These expansions reflect continued growth and development within the state’s industrial sector.
Semiconductor Manufacturing Initiative
At the meeting, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced the establishment of the state’s first semiconductor project at the Kochanahalli Electronics Manufacturing Cluster near Mysuru, marking a pivotal moment for technology advancement in Karnataka.
Siddaramaiah urged investors who have acquired Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board (KIADB) plots to operationalize their units within the designated timelines to avoid penalties, emphasizing compliance with the state’s industrial development guidelines.
