He proposed the idea of a four-day workweek, suggesting work hours from 12 noon on Monday to 2 pm on Friday, asserting this approach could lead to a more balanced life for individuals.

Narayana Murthy, in contrast, ignited a discussion with his advocacy for a 70-hour workweek. He reflected on his personal experience during Infosys’ inception, where he worked from 6:20 am to 8:30 pm, six days a week, underscoring that hard work was pivotal to achieving prosperity for any nation.

Murthy also lamented India’s decision to switch from a six-day to a five-day workweek in 1986, a viewpoint he maintains adamantly.
