Ayodhya Ram Temple Set to Complete by June 2025
Completion Timeline for Ayodhya Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple
Construction of the Ayodhya Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple is anticipated to be finalized by June 2025, as per Construction Committee Chairman Nripendra Mishra. During a media interaction on December 29, Mishra confirmed that the primary construction efforts would conclude by mid-2025, while additional elements like the ramparts and shoe racks are projected to extend until September 2025. Critical structures, such as the rising tower, are currently under review to ensure aviation safety compliance.
Ayodhya Ram Mandir — Significant Developments
“We are committed to completing all construction work by June 2025, except for the ramparts and shoe racks, which are estimated to go on till September 2025,” Mishra stated. He highlighted the cultural enhancements within the complex, noting the installation of 85 murals in the museum. Presently, work on 60 murals is underway, with 21 already finalized, including six dedicated to Lord Ram. Innovative titanium lattices are being developed for the Parikrama on multiple floors of the temple.
Mishra underscored the challenges faced, particularly in achieving the completion of the rising tower, where aviation safety is a primary consideration. A substantial portion of the rampart construction is also on track, with over 3 lakh cubic feet of stones placed, out of the total 8.4 lakh cubic feet required. This rampart will feature six temples along a one-kilometer stretch.
Additional Developments and Cultural Significance
In addition to structural updates, Mishra mentioned the forthcoming final inspection of intricate statues planned for January in Jaipur. A pool, located centrally within the temple complex, has commenced groundwork, with discussions focusing on its design and technical specifications. Moreover, four entrance gates in the southern and northern sectors will potentially be named after esteemed saints of Ayodhya, reflecting deep cultural reverence.
The ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony for the temple was solemnized on January 22, 2024, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi performing the Vedic rituals, underscoring the spiritual and cultural milestone this construction represents.
